A CONVENTION FOR CONRUNNERS

We will be postponing Fan Events Forum from November to some time in future.

Due to real-life issues, our main organizers have been unable to participate in planning for the event for some weeks, and we would much rather have a good event than a rushed one. So we have decided it would be best at this point to call off the event for now, expand the group of organizers, and look at remounting it possibly next year.

I’m sorry how things have worked out, and I hope this will not cause anyone any inconvenience.

Conventions, Clubs and Meetups. Cosplay Picnics and Maker Faires. SF-Literary, Media, Anime, Gaming, Steampunk, Filk, Costuming, Furry, Brony, Small Press, Comics, Horror.

There are so many different facets to the fan experience and we can’t wait to explore all of them at Fan Events Forum, a gathering for conrunners and others who devote their time and passion to planning “by fans, for fans” activities.

This is a chance to share your experiences with fellow organizers, and learn from their insights. The goal of this weekend is to bring together fans with as many different points of view as possible, from seasoned veterans to newly promoted volunteers to the person who’s never run anything but has always wanted to put together their own event and doesn’t know how to start. Everyone has something to contribute.

Attend workshops, presentations and discussion panels on a variety of useful topics. There will be time for social events, a hospitality suite with light refreshments and maybe a fun surprise or two.
